Ethics of Deposition Technology CLE Approved in Delaware, Texas and New Jersey

NextGen Reporting is pleased to announce that our CLE, the Ethics of Deposition Technology, has been approved for ethics credit in the states of Delaware, Texas and New Jersey Board. This is in addition to a number of others states which have granted credit for this presentation such as California and Pennsylvania.

We have delivered this presentation to more than 1000 attorneys across the country at firms such as Blank Rome, Dechert, Duane Morris, Orrick, Morgan Lewis, and Saul Ewing.

Our presentation begins with a discussion of attorneys’ responsibilities under the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct. Then the conversation shifts to the benefits and ethical considerations of the advanced technologies now available to litigators. Topics include considerations of videotaped depositions, real time, remotely conducted depositions, electronic communications during depositions, and social media such as Facebook and Twitter.

Feedback on our CLE Presentation:

  • “NextGen’s CLE on the Ethics of Deposition Technology was a hit at Saul Ewing. The attendees were very impressed with the content and its presentation. We are committed to understanding all of the strategic value – and ethical issues – in litigation technology.”
    – Anthony J. Iannini, Saul Ewing LLP
  • While our ethical obligations have not changed, the technology for managing information has. NextGen Reporting helped us understand the potential of and challenges associated with the newest technologies. Our clients will benefit from what we have learned.”
    – Jim Dolan, Cozen O’Connor
  • “The ethics element creates a strong demand for this workshop. The feedback has been quite positive, and the litigators indicate that the discussions have positively impacted their practices.”
    – Terry Mogul, Director of CLE at The Insurance Society of Philadelphia

In addition, we have written a white paper, “5 Huge Ethics Issues Relating to Deposition Technologies.”
